I watched several episodes of Gintama last night. I kept my mom up because I was laughing so fucking hard. Holy hell, that shit is funny. The drag episode, the space cockroaches, and Shinpachi hooking up with the mimi-neko chick was so incredibly amusing, I couldn't breathe!!
I have so many things that are interesting and amusing currently. I am feeling pretty hopeful lately... things are going well in scanlation.
Last night I got in a couple of Mamahara Ellie titles and Vol 7 of Saiyuki Reload. OMG - that shit is AWESOME. The publisher uses onion skin paper to give several of the drawings subtly and depth, and it just GORGEOUS.
Plus, Goku AND Hakkai go BUCK WILD in pure youkai forms. O__O;; Beautiful.
Sanzo COMPLETELY loses his shit after watching Goku get seriously injured, and I just drooled over it. I mean, I LOVE SanzoXGoku, so it was great.
Plus, youkai-Hakkai is just beautiful... *___* BEAUTIFUL.
Frankly, I couldn't stand waiting on what was going on anymore. I just couldn't, it was making me crazy. I saw raws for the second to last chapter in vol 6, and the first chapter in vol 7. Unable to bear it, I ordered Vol 6 of Saiyuki Reload and Vol 4 of Wild Adapter, but they haven't come in yet. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I debated if I wanted to scan vol 7, but, frankly, I don't want to destroy my precious manga or ruin my precious, freaked out Sanzo.
But in case you're worried, Goku is somehow stopped by Hakkai and Gojyo. Ah... but he's powered up... and weird runes showed up on his body.
Oh, and Sanzo realizes who's behind a lot of shit... (oh, my my. Can we say Dr Ni Jianyi?)
So, all in all, well worth the cash to get some Minekura goodness. To my shock, since most of the kanji have no furigana, I managed to read it most of it REGARDLESS of that. Honestly, this still shocks the shit out of me. I recognize them, but if I had to write them out, I'd be fucked.
AH... so happy... so happy... makes me want the art books for all of Minekura's work (which I wanted ANY WAY, since I consider her Japanese-Aries-Soul-Sistah Numero Uno).
