Well, I got to swing this big hammer...

So, to recap the events of the last two days: I fell asleep and missed the basketball game I was required to play at, and forgot to return the cd's to the library. Mr. P. forgot to fill out the teacher-evaluation part of my Japanese language camp application, so I might not get to go this year, even though I'm Stadium's only 4th year Japanese student, and went last year. Yesterday, I woke up at 6 to get ready to pound mochi at the local buddhist temple. I showed up at 8, thinking I was late, but turned out to be one of the first people there. So, I sat, learning to make mochi, and waiting for Rob. Rob's mom showed up, and we left to go get him. No Rob to be found. So I went back, and they finally let me in to swing the big hammer. I kept busy doing that for a while, and then these kids from the foreign language program at Curtis showed up. With the exception of one kid who was cool, as he was wearing an Animal Liberation hoodie, they sucked, big time. No rhythm + no muscles= slow pounding, and splinters in the mochi. Anyway, I stayed until it ended at 2, no Rob, but I got two pounds of regular mochi, and 10 pieces of bean filled mochi. It was really good. Last night my mom flipped out on me... that's never good, considering that my mom and I have an excellent relationship, so its always really bad when we actually do fight. Jason, Michelle, bro Dan, and Steve came over. Ate Chinese, and played Canasta. A good time was had by all. So, thats the recap for Friday/Saturday, not much really...
