Thank God for His bountiful blessings:
1. We got our boarding pass without seat number 45 minutes prior departure. The airline bumped 6 happy souls up to business class to free up cattle class seats us and 4 others. C and I cleared customs and baggage check before being assigned separate seats in a mad rush. Our boarding passes had handwritten numbers scribbled on them at the gate. I was just happy to be homebound though we had to sit separately and I was stuck in a yucky middle seat.
2. God answered prayers that we and our belongings were safe.
3. The weather is great except a day of snowing and another rainy day. We did spent most of our time having fun sightseeing and walking about.
4. The people we met are perhaps 95% friendly in both countries. I was quite ill-tempered to raise my voice at H @ George V and the French airport customs.
5. We good food and bought back chocolates, biscuits and desserts for family and friends. Oh, I got my favourite tea to last me for the whole of 2013, I hope.
6. The house will be happy if it can feel as we also bought ornaments for decorations. Too lazy to get a cuckoo clock this time round.
7. Last but no least, little guilt-free pressies - no major purchases since we can't get a tax refund.
