Paternity in Doctor Who
So, it occurs to me that we've had five episodes this season (out of ten, that I've seen) for which Paternal Love is a major theme. In descending order of plot significance:

Closing Time
The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People
A Good Man Goes To War
The Curse Of The Black Spot
The only one of these in which the mother also plays a significant role at all happens to be the one where the child is a daughter. But...this is literally half the season.
...I feel like I had something more to say about this, but I guess not. So instead I'll say this: Melody/Stormy? Anyone?
