Darmok

Really, I think this xkcd puts it best.

*ahem*

So...I kinda thought that episode was the coolest thing ever. I know, I know, I'm a total dork.

Sometimes I feel that this is what Arthur King of Time and Space does.

But, guys, guys. Did Troi even go to school? I mean, come on. "How many entries for Darmok are there?" "47" "Oh noes! We will never find the answer!"

Guys. 47. IS NOT REALLY THAT MANY. Do the freakin research. Oh, and cross-referencing things? Not an amazing logical leap. More like the first thing any search engine tells you to do. Even when this episode was written, this is how library catalogues work!

In conclusion, outside of her empathic abilities, Troi is kinda dumb.

But anyway.

In the immortal words of Captain Corcoran:

"Though I'm anything but clever
I could talk like that forever"

...actually, that is basically what that song is. (Except that Corcoran is totally not getting it. But we love him anyway...)

But...seriously. I think I've had conversations like that in terms of Doctor Who fandom. Frannie, I'm looking at you.

And on that note: Seven and Ace at the Circus!
(yeargh... Peri, when the Mentors turned up again...)
