Before I continue I've been meaning to say something. I bet you're wondering how I choose the challenges, I choose them by how many times they were mentioned in the poll from months ago, the trends suggestions page & how popular they were at one point. Anyways here's your next challenge, I hope you enjoy it...? Or at least submit. I'll rewrite any mistakes later today.
"Selective Coloring"Ohhh selective coloring how I remember you. A couple of years ago selective coloring was used & abused and not in a good way. It was basically used, back then, to bring out cyans & reds resulting in this radioactive bright burn coloring. Said icons would usually consist of a cyan blinding sky & a red burned person. For the first official elimination challenge you must use selective coloring to bring out the colors, specifically reds & cyans, from your image. You must make it look good & not blinding. Besides the obvious requirement you are free to do whatever you'd like. I'm giving you the opportunity to be free this week because next week will be heeellllll. Now I know some people can be intimidated by the thought of selective coloring, or aren't exactly sure how to use it, which is why I provided a psd with the selective coloring that I used on my example icon. You don't have to use this, but you can use it to give yourself an idea on how it works. If you still need help I'll direct you to some tutorials if needed.
Make this trend beautiful, besides the obvious trend requirement you can do anything your little heart desires. Have Funnnn~ BONUS: & for the lulz you can submit a bonus icon with the trend "uglified". You can do whatever you'd like in this case as well.

· Must fit LJ requirements (.png/.jpg/.gif, under 40kb, 100x100, etc.)
· Do NOT post your icon before the results are posted or you'll be dq'ed.
· Oh hey, blending is allowed, as is animation.
· Stock images, brushes, text, coloring, textures, etc, are all allowed.
· Keep icons SFW (safe for work), no hentai or suggestive ecchi
· If you don't submit, a skip will be used for you!
