i'm a poet...fer reals!
after "the worst day of my life," i turned to writing...my thoughts and feelings. sometimes i'd get lucky and things would rhyme or sound intelligent. and i managed to come up with quite a few poems. about a month ago, i came across poetry.com. its the website of the International Library of Poetry. i checked it out and submitted one of my poems, basically just so it could be copyrighted and put up online.
Today i got a letter saying that my poem has been selected as a semi-finalist for their latest contest!!! how rad is that?! but thats not the best part. the best part is that my poem was also chosen to be published in some coffee-table compilation of poems!!! MY POEM IS GONNA BE PUBLISHED!!
i encourage everyone *cough* h0ax *ahem* to check the site out, especially if you have poems you're proud of. if i could do this, then sheesh...i've read a few of you LJers' poems and i was impressed.
