the uni years
Aw! EE! I miss uni times. I was just thinking about Ed and the email saga we've had over the years and I was wondering how he was, so I decided to email him, signed into my uni mail and he had got there first! Man he said something fucking funny things over the years, was just sharing a few gems with Seph. :-D
He made me miss Edinburgh. And DHT in Winter when it was fucking freezing and windy and everyone grumbled about flights of stairs and essays (essays!) and library times. And I miss how we all were in first year, in that flat, reading and emailing about fanfic and essays and ringing each other on our extensions, from the room next door. And trying to sleep two to a single bed and pigeons! And late night ridiculous chats (over a year since I had one of those!) in someone's bedroom. And farmfoods chicken rice and cheese and ham pasta that you could smell down 4 flights of stairs haha. And the dvd shop! And bruntsfield. And walking home through the links at 6am, running away from rabid dogs while drunk, forgetting where we live.
I even miss bumping into classicists all the time, tufty, tappy and beardy, monster-munch, helen (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA faggoty assed mugs!), jbel. And rev/hive/teviot/frankies/bierex/ze row times. And chesses/stesses/mmesses. And even that annoying, constant firealarm all over Edinburgh. And back when the meadows was only a thing between my flat and chingo's, not a misery laden hangout or a reminder of the *cringe* marathong. Eugh eugh eugh.
A part of me does miss Tripod and KB and a tiny part misses Ruth, obviously you jolly! And dotty and when jbel lived 2 floors down and we sat and listened to goldfrapp and she was not quite out yet :-D And knowing that when I was awake, I could sit at the window on South Clerk st and know that ppl outside were on night buses, and walking home drunk, and going to the 24hr scot-mid.
It makes me kinda sad that it's over and we'll never get more time like that, I'll probably never get another funny email from Tripod, or speak to KB ever again.
