Well, it was a day later than originally planned, but I finally made it up to Denton. The weather was such a bear and made for horrid traveling on Thursday which resulted in me staying with my parents one more day. My father was still concerned about my leaving yesterday, but I kept checking the weather with nothing on the radar. I know that doesn't mean that something couldn't show up later, but by then I could be close to Denton. So I just kept in contact with the parents, letting them know when I was through certain checkpoints (namely Waco and Ft. Worth) and then called when I got to the apartment.
Of course, since I left as late as I did, I knew I was bound to get caught in some traffic. And it was pretty much 5 o'clock traffic on a Friday along with a torrential downpour of rain. That made the going slower, but it was okay; I was in no hurry to get there.
And when I got to the apartment the downpour had become a light rain. That was nice while Beth and I carried all the stuff into the apartment. And after dinner, we managed to get my bike and bike rack off the Escape. Those are on the balcony now. All that remains is the bottled water and tea in the back of the Escape, which I'll probably get today after I visit the Aikido school in Denton. I'm thinking about taking up this martial art if I like it.
Anyways, gotta jet. Ja ne!
