Bug Flowers, Flower Bugs

Mar 05, 2009 23:01

This week has flown by. I stayed up til 3am reading my book last night. It's so badly good; I'm hooked.

That made for a sleepy day, even though I had work to do.

One thing I re-learned today: design by committee never really works, even (especially?) when it's design by family committee.

Early in the week I scanned a few images and got them posted to my flickr. I still haven't made any progress on my Artomatic pieces, but after a talk with jesnie last weekend, I have a certain direction in mind, but I feel like I haven't had the time coupled with sufficient energy to sit down and plot out my actions, or even just to dive in and start working haphazardly. Maybe I'll get a chance this weekend?

I've doodled a fair amount of "flower bugs" or "bug flowers" (think: do I see a bug, or a flower, or both or neither?) and was playing with that idea again recently.

flutter bloom. reminds me of wings in motion and an opening blossom of some sort. i've been into pink lately.

beetle flower. my mom looked at it after I colored in the yellow, and observed that the beetles weren't as obvious anymore.

mosquito buds. i think these are cute.
