P P with Lime
Whoa we are on the verge of February. How did that happen?
I had jesnie and evlyn over for dinner and a movie tonight. I made a salad and quesadillas. Jess brought cheesecake AND ginger snaps AND strawberries in a cute jar. Evlyn brought limes AND pineapple juice AND those chocolate straw cookies that I can never remember the name of, but I know they start with P.
Speaking of P. We concocted a good drink of pineapple juice and san pellegrino, lime and tequila and/or rum. Evlyn thought it deserved to be named, but wondered if it should somehow include a reference to pineapple and pellegrino. Jess and I looked at each other at the same time. We'd both thought of the initials and laughed about it. The drink is yellow too! The P.P. with lime is born.
We watched Waitress which was actually pretty cute and uplifting in that way that a movie can be depressing and invoke a sense of anxiety the whole time you watch it, but then turn around right at the end. The characters were rather over the top but in a good way. Evlyn said it best when she described that it almost seemed like a cartoon. The acting was good enough that it didn't seem forced, but instead the people came off as charming and endearing for their quirks.
I'll be housebound for the rest of the weekend. I guess I've been housebound since Thursday morning when my mom left for a show in Connecticut, but I had tonight to look forward to and get ready for. I hope that I will take this weekend to get some stuff done that wants to be done and that I want to do.
