My mom saw my "old" icon with the lantern that just so happened to cover my head perfectly. She likes to see deeper meaning in EVERYTHING, so she kept mentioning, "you know, it's a cute picture, but I keep thinking about it, and it seems to me that it represents how you are hiding yourself away from the world. I think you should replace it with an image of your face."
Each time she'd say this, I'd laugh and be like, "I just use that one because it was a funny, quirky picture. On all my other sites my icons are photos of me. I swear! I'm not hiding myself!"
So this morning she brought it up again, though by the end of the exchange, she promised she wouldn't bug me about it again. So then I thought to myself, well I do have some new self-taken-self-portraits, I could whip up a new default icon. So I made this one, and I said to my mom, "Look! I made a new icon in honor of you!"
She took one look and said, "You look like a frog in that photo. Put it back to the lantern one."
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I like frogs, so I guess I'll take it as a compliment. Haha.
