Busy weekend.
More packing, more carting to the storage space, more cleaning. Looks like we've hardly made a dent. *snort* Typical. My glasses broke yesterday morning, and I can't get them fixed until tomorrow. Been off-kilter all weekend. *squint*
We three had a wonderful time at pyat and velvetpage's yesterday, also with etherlad and sassyfae. Good company, baby cuddling (*nosebeeps*), laughter and piles of food. Plus, as I wasn't gaming, I managed to do some tweaking on a couple of fics, so that's good. Considering I haven't done much with my writing in the past six weeks...
Today, after sleeping in (omg, nine? NINE?! and I was still tired!), it was off to thebitterguy and senexmacdonald's for the latter's surprise birthday party. Again with the baby cuddling and the laughter and the food, and of course the good company (with a bit of variance). Also in attendance were redeem147 and mr_weasel and their respective darlings, among other folk (some new to us, some not). Good time (though man, is it ever humid today...). Once the bunny got over her shyness, all was well. Three year olds playing hide and seek is incredibly funny. They both count the same way (once they get into the teens, the numbers are all over the place -- "eleven, fourteen, eleven, fourteen, seventeen, nineteen, twenty!"), their "hiding" is in plain sight and always in the exact same location, and they never get tired of it. :D

We're tidying and packing more tonight (as well as doing tons of laundry and running the dishwasher). So, must go do that. Emmys? What?
There is a pitcher of black-eyed Susans on the table beside me, and before I go to bed I'm going to have a toasted field tomato sandwich. Mmm, late summer...
