I am working today because I took Friday off. Our intrepid characters are once again being menaced by giant food items. They do all this consumer research with preschoolers to see what attracts their attention, and food is pretty high on the list. So every few weeks the characters run into giant fruit, cheese wedges, tacos, what have you.
The work does get repetitive but it pays the bills and art is pretty much the only thing I am decent at. I did a whole music video for Dora the Explorer once about chalupas.
Speaking of Friday, we went to Spokane for one of Husband's medical appointments. On the way home we stopped at the Dollar store to get some dryer sheets, and there was a truck parked outside giving away free kittens. I had to drag Husband away by the ear... We already have 6 cats! He loooves kitties so much, but we only have so much room. Besides, I am the one that has to clean the cat boxes. The people also gave me the ick. This was the second litter from their cat, which means they never bothered fixing the mom. They claimed the kittens were 7 weeks and weaned(which is still too soon to be separated from mom in my opinion) but looked much younger. I hope the poor kittens found good safe homes. It is kitten season so the local shelter is overflowing with kittens. Their last newsletter said they just got in 18(!) and this is a small volunteer run no kill place. They keep asking us to foster but knowing us we would swiftly end up with 25 cats.
Back to work for me! Today's agenda: Space, unhappy farm animals, and more giant food.
Clyde with the closest thing to a new kitten we are going to get this spring.
PS Kid just came back from the local market and said they have free kittens. Nope nope, I will stay strong!
