New York?
So work is doing another party in NY, this time in early March. I am not really sure if I want to go...there are no direct flights from Spokane, so it will be a super long day of air travel there and back, even with no delays. Last time I staggered into my hotel past midnight, spent the next day at work events, woke up early the third day and arrived home very late. It was a slog, and I am an introvert hermit with a love of open spaces. :D
On the positive side, it looks like I can have an entire free day on this trip. I had zero time to do any tourist things last time, so that is something to consider.
Those of you living in or near New York City, what is the weather like in early March? I assume there is ice and snow, so probably not really a good time for walking tours? Are there frequent flight delays? What would you suggest a first timer with a really bad sense of direction do during a single day in NY...I will probably have Uber and meals paid for, but not any extra tourist type expenses. Help me decide! I have a couple weeks to RSVP.
