Elk out in the pasture.
They hung around all day and huffed from the dark when vehicles passed by.
Yesterday was vet visit of doom lite, since only 4 cats needed to go in. I skipped it because work was crazy. Kid was home so Kid and Husband did the cat wrangling. Apparently the vet office was super crowded, and the cats were in fine form, again. Miss Spots barfed, Witch Hazel tried to attack the vet, and Rocky peed in his carrier. Rocky got washed as soon as he came home. And of course today Hardway, one of the cats that did NOT go to the vet, threw up a worm so Husband is going back to pick up some pills. I normally order dewormer pills online but Hardway does not look happy and I do not want the entire gang coming down with worms! I will probably have to pill the rest of them anyway, since Hardway is popular and all the other cats lick his face. Sigh. Husband sent me a photo from the vet's office of a flyer offering friendly barn cats for adoption...I just sent back a "no." I am not the craziest cat person in the family! 6 cats are entirely enough, thank you.
Back to work for me, Monday deadline was moved to Friday so I am putting in some extra hours. less than 2 weeks until holiday break!
Today's agenda: orange mountains, rocket ships, and a meteorite.
