It is cold outside.
The cats are all squished into warm spots around the house. I have just a little bit of work to do this weekend...maybe 3 hours? But the first decent snowfall of winter is not a good time to be out driving so we are staying put. Apparently there were more than 100 car accidents down in Spokane yesterday, as people tried to figure out how to drive in snow again. We did the weekly market run yesterday before the snow got too bad.
Starlink is working out very well. Still slower than city broadband, but much better than the basement tier DSL we were getting from the rural telephone service. My big project uploads used to take up to 4 hours on DSL. Similar upload on Starlink was done within 10 minutes, with a Youtube video playing on the computer at the same time. It worked well even with the snow falling. DSL is not supposed to be affected by weather, but somehow ours always did. Starlink costs more, but I think the improvement to my work life is worth it. No more staying up late babysitting uploads with spotty, slow internet!
Back to work for me!
Today's agenda: a rainbow colored butterfly, the planet Mars, and a dinosaur wearing a space suit.
