Housesitting the Weekend Away
Posting from a computer that is 10 times nicer than your own is always a treat. And I do really mean 10 times; my home PC is a 7 years old P2 233 Mhz 6 GB HD. The only updated components is the 56K modem, CD-RW drive and memory upgrade.
Now you know why I whine about a new computer. But I digress...
The housesitting gig is for my parents that are celebrating their 25th anniversary. In warm, sunny Florida. At the Grand Floridian @ Disney with some family sharing in the fun (grown-ups only, I think). Oh well, at least the weather will warm up to 60 the next couple of days -_-;
Again, congrats Mom and Dad!
Seeing my brother and sister over the weekend just reminds me that they and my parents will be moving away late summer. Which will probably translate to weekly visits over the summer to abuse their pool and as many golf outings I can squeeze in w/ my dad. Damnit, just thinking about the move is getting me a bit depressed. Change the subject.
Some said that picking Illinois and NC in the championship game is a no-brainer, but imangine all variables that go into each game and the fact that winning five straight tournament games to get to where they are. I'm patting myself on the back this year; I'm sure this will be the only time I'll pick the national championship teams from the beginning of the tournament.
I wonder how much money I would made if I was in a actual pool. Mmmmm, money...
