‘That was a beautiful afternoon.’

The silent classroom was covered with a thin layer of orange light. The white curtains fluttered on the breeze. So did his hair.

He was sitting by the window letting the cool wind brush against his porcelain skin. His slender fingers moved on the papers gently. His wide dark brown eyes sparkled every time he looked up from his book. His melodious voice filled the whole room. It was like a lullaby to the ears.

“Jang Hyunseung!”

Hyunseung snapped out of his thought when someone kicked his chair and his name was shouted. He jolted up from his seat and blinked wildly at his teacher who appeared irritated now. His classmates were staring at him quietly as well.

“Y-Yes, Miss Lee?” He gulped.

“Please answer the question.”

‘Oh shoot, what question?!’ Hyunseung panicked as picking his book up. He even didn’t know if he was on the right page.

“T-The answer…”

“Page 92, the second paragraph”, whispered somebody.

Hyunseung immediately flipped to the said page and read whatever he’s told.

“That’s correct, Mr.Jang.” commented Miss Lee when Hyunseung finished speaking. “However, you need to pay more attention to your lesson. You can sit down now.” She added as fixing her glasses.

‘Phew~ I’m alive.’ Prince Jang cheered mentally sitting back down on his chair. Then he glanced at the guy on his left who was looking out of the window with his chin resting on his palm.

“Hey, thanks for saving me.” Hyunseung said in a low voice.

The other guy didn’t respond making Hyunseung pout. He hated being ignored.

‘Such a rude kid’ he thought.

----------------

“There are some parts of today’s lesson that I don’t understand. Can you explain them to me?” Hyunseung asked the guy-next-desk as putting his textbook on his desk.

Their class had ended a few minutes ago. Everyone had left except Hyunseung and this black haired male. Hyunseung was standing in front of the said guy and staring at him while the other didn’t return his look.

‘That was a beautiful sight.’

His silky black hair reflected the color of the sunset. His perfect jaw line and milky white skin were glowing as well.

“How could you understand them when you were daydreaming?”

Hyunseung furrowed his eyebrows at his classmate’s mocking.

“Why are you being like that, Yang Yoseob? I’m talking to you politely.”

Yoseob looked up at Hyunseung with a straight face.

“Oh yeah? I should be nice to you even when you didn’t concentrate in classes, then asked me to explain things to you again?”

“I was distracted a little bit.” replied Hyunseung as the matter of fact. He didn’t appear guilty at all.

Yoseob rolled his eyes and began to put his stuffs away into his backpack.

“Yoseob, please. You must help me this time. We’re having the test tomorrow.” The brunette pleaded. “This is the last time, I promise. I won’t daydream in classes anymore.”

“Sorry, I can’t. I have club activities now.” Yoseob stood up, put his backpack on his shoulder.

Before he walked away, Hyunseung had grabbed his arm and turned Yoseob to face him.

“How about coming to my house after school?” He suggested.

For the first time after a whole day being emotionless, Yoseob finally showed his surprised expression to Hyunseung.

“What did you say?” The shorter boy asked with his eyes wide opened.

“I’m inviting you to come to my house so we can study together.” Hyunseung repeated. Oh, how he loved Yoseob’s confused face while he was considering his invitation in silent.

“Okay then…” Yoseob replied with a sigh.

“I know you will agree.” beamed the wavy haired male. “I will text you my address.”

“Whatever. I’m leaving for my Drama club now.” Yoseob murmured prying Hyunseung’s hand of his arm.

To his surprise, instead of letting go, the other pulled him closer until their lips touched.

“Thank you, Yoseob.” said Hyunseung against his lips when they were looking into each other’s eyes. “I will wait for you.”

The older guy stepped back and walked out of the classroom leaving Yoseob standing alone in the quiet and bright room.

The light wind was blowing through the windows making the thin curtains fly gently.

This sight reminded Yoseob of that afternoon when he stayed in this room after school to help Hyunseung with his homework. At first Yoseob refused since he had seen Hyunseung sleep the whole period, but after the other explained that he was exhausted due to the harsh dance rehearsal the previous day, Yoseob changed his mind.

Hyunseung appeared very focused as they were studying together. At least the way he look at Yoseob made Yoseob think so. However, when Yoseob announced that they had completed all tasks, Hyunseung leaned forward and kissed him on the lips with his eyes open. Yoseob saw it because he didn’t close his eyes either. He was shocked at that moment.

“Thanks for your help.”

That was what Hyunseung said before bidding his goodbye to the frozen boy in front of him.

“Freak” mumbled Yoseob as wiping his lips with the back of his hand.

Things changed a lot after the day Yoseob returned Hyunseung his notebook. They met each other more often now since they were in the same Chemistry class besides the Dance Club, yet their relationship became strange. It’s like they were having a cold war. Whenever they were near each other, the atmosphere suddenly turned awkward. If they talked to each other, it would soon turn into bickering.

‘That must be Hyunseung’s fault because he’s a freak.’ Yoseob told himself. He had known it since the very first time he met him.

----------------

Yoseob transferred to this college last year. When he was told to join at least a club, he chose the Drama Club, but their member list had been full already, so he decided to register for the Dance Club. Although he was not into dancing that much, it was still better than being a member of the Cross-Stitch Club or the Bible Lovers Club.

Since Yoseob was a new student, he had difficulties finding places in this large college. That time he was on his way looking for the Dance Club when he pumped into someone.

“I’m so sorry.” He bowed his head, apologized to the stranger.

“No problem” replied the other softly.

When Yoseob looked at the person whom I had run into, he couldn’t help but gape at his beauty. This guy looked as pretty as a girl with brown wavy hair, white skin, and sharp eyes, yet his voice and the flat chest showed what his true gender was.

Yoseob had to mentally slap himself in order to stop staring at the gorgeous male in front of him.

“Could you tell me how to get to the Dance Club?” He asked politely. “I’m kinda lost…”

“Dance Club? Go straight and turn left.” The other said plainly.

“Thank you, and sorry again for running into you.” Yoseob bowed again and walked away.

‘I’ve never seen such a beautiful guy before.’ thought the small headed boy. ‘He must be popular in this school.’

After taking the first turn, Yoseob stopped as facing a staircase.

‘W-What is this? Isn’t the Dance Club supposed to be here?’

He was confused when someone walked down the stairs. His eyes widened recognizing that familiar face. That person was the guy he had just met 2 minutes ago!

“You look like you’re in trouble. Can I help you?” The brunette questioned looking at Yoseob’s flustered face.

“I…” stuttered the smaller boy as trying to collect himself. “C-Could you show me the way to the Dance Club?”

“Go to the second floor, turn right. The Dance Club is at the end of the corridor.” The beauty responded is a monotonous tone. His face was expressionless as well.

“T-Thank you.” Yoseob forced a smile.

When the other walked pass him, the thought ‘This guy could be a ghost’ popped up in his mind.

‘T-That’s i-impossible. T-There’s no g-ghost in t-this world.’ Yoseob tried to convince himself as darting with his head down.

Once he reached the Dance Club, he took a deep breath, calmed himself down and knocked on the door. When the door was opened, Yoseob’s jaw dropped.

It was that guy again!

‘GHOST!!!!’ Yoseob shrieked in mind jumping back from his spot. He was about to run away, but ‘the ghost’ was faster. He had grabbed Yoseob’s hand and gazed at his panicked face. Yoseob felt like crying right there.

“Welcome to our Dance Club. I’m Jang Hyunseung, the President of the club.” ‘The ghost’ beamed shaking the shivering hand in his hand.

Yoseob facepalmed recalling such unpleasant memories.

“Hope that he won’t repeat it this time.” He sighed and left the classroom.

----------------

“Earth’s calling Yang Yoseob.”

Yoseob blinked his eyes when a hand was moving up and down in front of his face.

“Yah! What are you doing?” He smacked the hand away and glared at Hyunseung.

“That should be my line, kid!” whined Hyunseung. “You’ve been sitting there like a statue for 15 minutes already. What’s with you?”

“Sorry about that” Yoseob lowered his voice “I just can’t believe that everything is so normal here”

“What do you mean?” The brunette raised his eyebrow.

“I thought that your house would be like a dark place with dead trees and gloomy atmosphere surrounding it. Inside your house would be painted black and decorated with weird stuff like chains or torches or animal heads, but things here are not like what I imagined so I was surprised.” The younger one confessed in a daze.

“What the hell? You think that I’m a freak or what?” Hyunseung rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.

Yoseob gave him an ‘Isn’t it obvious?’ look before adding, “Your mother looks so young and pretty. She’s friendly, too.”

“Heh, where do you think I got this flawless face from? My mom, of course.”

Yoseob made a dull expression while Hyunseung was self-praising.

‘But it seems you didn’t inherit her normal characters’ thought Yoseob adverting his gaze.

Although Hyunseung was a weirdo, his room was quite normal. In fact, it was well-decorated and really cozy to Yoseob. He never expected Hyunseung to be a neat person, but he guessed he was wrong. This room was so clean and tidy.

There was a knock on the door.

“Come in” Hyunseung put his book down and turned to the door when it’s opened and a girl stuck her head in.

“Mom wants to know if you friend would like to join us for dinner.” Hyunseon said glancing at her brother’s friend. She grinned as their eyes met. Yoseob politely returned her smile.

“Please tell her that I’d love to.”

“Okay~” Hyunseon chirped and closed the door.

“Is she your sister?” Yoseob asked. “She looks cute.”

Hyunseung snickered again, “My family has beautiful genes.”

“She’s almost my girlfriend, wasn’t she?” The younger one smiled shyly feeling his cheeks warm up a little bit.

“Right…” Hyunseung trailed off.

‘But she opposed that idea’

‘But I didn’t agree’

They thought at the same time before continuing to do their homework.

----------------

“Thanks for the great meal, Mrs. Jang.” Yoseob bowed his head to the long haired woman earning an elegant smile from her.

“I’m glad that you enjoyed it, Yoseobie. It’s the first time Hyunseungie brought his friend home. Hope that you will come over more often, son.”

“Sure, Mrs. Jang” blushed Yoseob.

Standing beside her mother, Hyunseon eyed Yoseob amusingly.

“Goodbye.” She giggled reaching her hand out to squeeze his cheek suddenly. “Yoseobie~”

Before everyone could react, she had run back into her house.

“That’s ‘oppa’ for you, kid!” yelled Hyunseung after his sister.

“She must like you a lot.” Mrs. Jang said softly with another bright smile.

Hyunseung rolled his eyes seeing Yoseob blushed even more while caressing his pinched cheek in awe.

“It’s getting late, I’ll walk you home” stated the taller guy as putting his coat on and pushed his guest out of his house.

“Yah!” Yoseob protested when Hyunseung’s mother waved at him.

“Goodbye, Yoseobie.”

“Goodbye, Mrs. J-”

Hyunseung slammed the door close behind him interrupted Yoseob’s farewell.

“Stop being cheesy and go home now.” He commanded with his typical monotonous tone.

“Yah! What’s with you? Stop pushing me!” Yoseob huffed irritatingly as Hyunseung kept nudging him forward. “I can go home myself!”

“You might be kidnapped or stalked or molested on the way home, but don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

“What are you talking about, man? You’re more likely to be stalked since you…”

“… beautiful, right?”

Yoseob blankly stared at Hyunseung’s smiling face and snorted.

“No, it’s because you look like a girl.”

“A beautiful girl” the other fixed him brushing his wavy hair.

Yoseob gave up arguing with this weirdo. He shook his head and walked away with Hyunseung behind him.

“Do you think…” Yoseob turned to his classmate when he began to speak again “Should I take off my coat to show people that I’m a manly guy?”

Yoseob stumbled suddenly and almost fell, but Hyunseung had grasped his arm pulling him back.

“Be careful, you clumsy kid!” he nagged.

“It’s your fault!” Yoseob jerked his arm away. “Stop saying weird things to me!”

“What weird things?”

Yoseob couldn’t explain why he got mad whenever seeing that calm and innocent face of Hyunseung. Did he ever realize that most things he say and do were abnormal? That drove Yoseob crazy. He couldn’t understand this guy. Hyunseung had kissed him twice without any reasons. Yoseob really regretted revealing that he was gay. Perhaps Hyunseung was teasing him for being gay? Or did he find out that Yoseob’s having a crush on him?

Yoseob had to admit even though Hyunseung was a freak, he was really attractive. He’s good looking, hardworking, determined, and kind. His dancing skill was amazing too. Yoseob couldn’t help but fall for the older one, yet he never showed his interest toward him. In addition, Hyunseung didn’t seem to have any special feeling for him. He’s full of himself and he enjoyed annoying Yoseob. That’s all.

Hyunseung glanced at the quiet Yoseob from the corner of his eyes. His expression had changed from angry to sad, the dancer noticed. Now he was pouting a little bit while fixing his scarf and blowing his hands.

‘He must be cold.’ Prince Jang thought eyeing those shaking bare hands.

“Wait a minute”

Yoseob stopped his step to give his friend a questioned look.

“Stay here. I’ll be right back” said Hyunseung before running away.

Yoseob sighed not bothering to wonder what was in Hyunseung’s mind. He started to entertain himself by kicking the gravels around him while waiting.

“Hey, I’m back!”

The kid looking guy gazed up to the familiar voice. Hyunseung had returned with a cup of hot tea in his hand.

“Give me your hand” he offered.

At that moment, Yoseob’s heart skipped a beat. His whole body heated up to the thought that Hyunseung bought him a hot drink since he was freezing cold. He gulped and hesitantly showed Hyunseung his hand.

Prince Jang took the Yoseob’s hand and shoved it in his coat pocket before moving on the empty street, sipping his tea enjoyably. Not to mention, Yoseob was completely dumbfounded. He felt disappointed and embarrassed at the same time, but he couldn’t complain much when Hyunseung intertwined their fingers inside his pocket.

Yoseob pulled his scarf up to cover half of his small face to hide the shade of red on his cheeks. However Hyunseung’s sharp eyes didn’t miss it. He smiled to himself squeezing the little hand tighter. Two of them kept walking silently side-by-side on the night street under the yellow streetlights, and they both felt less cold unexpectedly.

“We arrived” whispered Yoseob through his thick scarf.

“Oh…” Hyunseung replied randomly letting go of the younger boy’s hand.

Yoseob was frustrated a little bit when the other released his hand so fast. He shrugged and stuck his hands into his own coat pockets.

“Thanks for walking me home, Hyunseung.”

“It’s nothing. You helped me with my homework.”

After they ran out of things to say, the atmosphere became awkward again, so Yoseob thought that he’d better tell him goodbye. When he opened his mouth, Hyunseung suddenly stepped forward and locked lips with him. Yoseob stared at Hyunseung with his eyes wide open while the other looked back at him without a blink.

As always, Hyunseung was the one pulling back first. This time instead of leaving immediately, he wrinkled his eyebrows.

“Why you never close your eyes when I kiss you?” His question was more like a complaint.

“You don’t close yours, either” snorted Yoseob.

“How can I see your face with my eyes closed?” Hyunseung retorted.

“That’s your problem, not mine.” Yoseob concluded bluntly. “See you tomorrow.”

“Wait, let’s kiss with our eyes closed this time.”

Yoseob gasped when he’s grabbed by the arm and turned backward. The next thing he felt were Hyunseung’s soft lips pressing against his again. Oh, the pretty male really shut his eyes this time. Yoseob fluttered his eyelashes a few times before closing his eyes, but before he could do so, Hyunseung had broken the kiss.

“Yah, you cheated! Why didn’t you close your eyes?” he yelled.

“I wasn’t ready for it, you fool!” Yoseob snapped back.

“Kissing you is not romantic at all!”

“I didn’t ask you to kiss me!” raged the upset boy. “Why you keep teasing me, Jang Hyunseung?”

“I’m not teasing you, Yang Yoseob!”

“Stop making noise, brats or I’ll call the police!” One of Yoseob’s neighbors threatened from his window.

“We’re sorry, uncle! Please don’t call the police, we will lower our voice!”

Yoseob facepalmed himself while Hyunseung was apologizing loudly to the unknown neighbor.

‘This guy is hopeless.’

“You’d better leave, Hyunseung…” Yoseob breathed out “before you wake everyone.”

Hyunseung was about to talk back again, but he decided to let it go.

“Okay. I’m leaving now. Goodnight, Yoseob.”

Yoseob was surprised by his classmate’s strange behavior. The look on his face was inexplicable with a soft yet sad smile.

“Goodbye, Hyunseung.”

The dancer nodded his head and walked away.

‘He really appeared depressed walking like that’ noted Yoseob as watching Hyunseung behind.

‘This is so crazy.’ He clenched his fists and took a deep breath.

“Jang Hyunseung!”

Hyunseung’s startled upon hearing his name. He looked over his shoulder and saw Yoseob running toward him.

“What-” He was cut off as the other threw his arms around his neck and crashed their lips together.

Hyunseung widened his eyes in shock while Yoseob had his eyes shut and his forehead wrinkled.

“T-That’s a good night kiss.” Yoseob explained dropping his gaze.

“You looked like you’re forced to kiss me” commented Hyunseung.

“Yah! You didn’t close your eyes?”

“It’s so sudden plus you made it too fast.” The wavy haired male shrugged making the one facing him pout.

“Stop blaming me.” Yoseob said untangling his arms around Hyunseung’s neck. “Or I’ll never kiss - hmph”

Their lips touched again while they were looking each other in the eyes. Yoseob whimpered as Hyunseung put his hands on his waist and pulled him against his body. He closed his eyes and tightened his embrace around the taller guy. Then he heard Hyunseung let out a content breath when their kiss got deeper, so he peeked and found the other was enjoying their kissing moment with his eyes closed as well. Yoseob couldn’t help but smile in the kiss.

‘This is really crazy’

“I love you, Yang Yoseob.”

“I love you too, Jang Hyunseung.”

“I know.”

“How can you know?”

“No one can resist my charm.”

“Shut up…”

A/N: This couple drove me crazy. It took me 5 hours to write the ending part since their weirdness wouldn't stop T___T Hope that I won't have to face them again LOL It's time to work on other normal couples xDDDD
