Portus Anyone?
I've always been vaguely intending to drive up to Dallas for Portus, stay with my relatives, and get together with any of you who are going. I hadn't bothered to register and I was thinking it would probably sell out and I was planning to pretty much just skulk around outside the conference meeting up with people.
But it looks like it isn't sold out and one-day passes are available at a very reasonable price. So ...
1 - Who's going? Can we meet up?
2 - What in particular should I register for? I can buy a Friday or Saturday day pass, or both, and extras or whatever.
3 - Anything else I should know?
I was thinking yesterday that this will be the first summer in five years that I haven't gone to (and/or hosted) a major, fabulously enjoyable Harry Potter meet-up with you guys:
Summer 2003 - Nimbus
Summer 2004 - Wahleecon
Summer 2005 - ORXmoot
Summer 2006 - Lumos
Summer 2007 - Smoky Hallows
Of course there have been other major get-togethers that I didn't go to and several wonderful smaller ones that I did go to, but for me the above meet-ups have neatly structured my HP social life. Is there anyone who was at all of those? I can think of several people (including both my children!) who were at four out of five, but I can't think of anyone else who was at all five. Just to make sure, a poll:
