So I heard along the grapevine that Solita is back in wrestlefandom, but on Tumblr, and apparently she 'ships Punk/Cena.
Are you fucking kidding me? Of all the 'ships in the world, she has to get into one of my fucking OTPs?
Look, I know rationally that nobody gets to claim a 'ship as theirs, but let's be real here, I called this fucking pairing years before it became a canon possibility. If anybody's got the right to call a 'ship theirs, it's me with Punk/Cena. If she ever actually owed up to her plagiarism, I wouldn't be so pressed, but she never responded to my replies to her "apology" (which she had to be prodded into making) and then she slinked off from Livejournal after deleting the contents of her journal. Not a single ounce of taking responsibility. Now she's back under a whole new name, just like I thought she would, free and clear of her past. I'm not saying that she needs to grovel for my forgiveness before she returned, and while I think plagiarism is one of the shittiest things you can do to a peer in fandom, I don't think it's a crime from which you cannot return as long as you're genuinely remorseful and willing to make up for what you've done. But she gave me evidence of neither when she bounced off LJ and wiped her own slate clean. And now she's back, in my 'ship. I don't care if I have nothing to do with her getting into it.
