That was some of the most amazing promo-ing I've ever seen. As I told yesdrizella, "I have never wanted to see a PPV this much in my whole fucking wrestling loving life." That was how fucking amazing good that hype was. Somebody described this as being the Austin 3:16 of our time, and that assessment is dead on. Now, it remains to be seen where it goes from here. Wrestling does love to disappoint and fuck you over. But goddamn, Punk was amazing. Even Cena was great, and he is fab when he isn't cutting juvenile promos. He sounded like an adult, and thank god for that.
BY THE WAY I CALLED THIS EXACTLY THREE YEARS AGO. PRACTICALLY TO THE DAY. OKAY MAYBE OFF BY ONE. July 10th, 2008. I said that Cena/Punk could be HUGE. LOOK AT THEM NOW.
AND SPEAKING OF WHICH OH MY GOD, I WANT IN-CHARACTER PUNK/CENA SO FUCKING BAD. HATE!SEX IS THE BEST. Also, I'm thinking my "non-canon OTP is true" tag needs some changing, because this is about as canon as it gets.
