FLDJFKLDSJ:FKLDSJFL:DSJFSD I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW. It gives me such an intense case of wigglepants.

I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove the episode name. Like, I cannot convey to you how much I love it. It works on so many levels, and yeah, it's an obvious pun, I suppose, but I think it's clever. And also I'm fond of puns. :P

Interesting to see the transformation of Neal Caffrey. I really love that floppy hair on him, for lack of a better description. It helps to sell the fact that he's younger in the flashback. The idea that his internship with Adler shaped his taste for the good things in life, the suit and the hat and the style. But I'd love to know Neal BEFORE that, because he was already a con artist, a talented but not very sophisticated one. How'd he get there, you know?

I wish we got this view of Kate much MUCH earlier on, because while I still don't think the actress is remotely good, there is much more of a sense of who Kate was. And I feel bad for her now. Granted, she made her own choices, but at the same time, there was a level of manipulation involved. She chose to stick with Neal after he revealed the truth, but she was in a very vulnerable place. She lost her job and her entire life savings. She didn't have much of a choice in whom she turned to, you know? I'm not saying Neal was responsible for her completely, but he shares some culpability there. I feel much more keenly for the predicament she was in, and for her eventual death. And Neal's feelings on the matter make more sense, too. Not just the loss, but the guilt. I think of his line, about how the wine bottle was a promise for a better life, and that whole chunk of it just feels more real now.

Oh, and I really love that Kate called Neal on trying to con her. I love that she was so flat out about it, just took no bullshit. That was really the moment when her character clicked for me. With that said, I still wish the actress were better. I think Kate as written in this episode is fantastic, but with a decent actress, Kate would've leapt off the page.

Intelligent comment aside, omggggggggggggg heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the whole conceit of Peter and Neal, drinking and telling each other the past over drinks. Like omg, how much did that rock. And how fucking slashy were they, jfc. The lollipop omg. How they're fascinated with each other, the admiration. James Bonds, lolololol.

Oh oh, puppy Satchmo omgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg. l;afjdlakfdklajfdklsajfldkjad.

Music box, fractals, beacon, blah blah. STILL DON'T CARE. LALALALALAL. Dude, I bet you anything they're gonna spring some surprise Nazis on me, and I HATE SURPRISE NAZIS. Okay, I suppose it really wouldn't be a surprise, what with the set-up, but still. Clearly this beacon is gonna trace back to some sunken Nazi treasure, probably stuff from the looted amber room from which the music box came. I'M CALLING IT NOW.

white collar, say no to surprise nazis
