I am going to see Barack Obama speak on Thursday morning at the University of Charleston.
I am a very strong supporter of Senator Obama in his campaign to become president. I donate to his campaign and have signed up to particpate in any activities that I can attend (distance and time always an issue). I found out that Thursday he will be in WV at wo separate locations... one being in Beckley and first-come-first-serve and the other at the University of Charleston (my alma matar). The UC speech is by ticket only, but tickets are available on first-come-first-serve. I received an email from the Obama campaign advising me of the activities. I filled out the request form and POOF, I have a ticket to see him speak on Thursday. My father and I will both be attending.
I don't know if he will be the next president. I know that he is the first politician in a long time to unite people in the manner that he does and the only politician that I truly BELIEVE in the current political climate. Even if he does not become president, I am wholeheartedly excited to see him speak and believe myself lucky for the opportunity to be inspired by him.
