All my life I have been strongly against papers defining your future. But there I was, a few weeks back, going out on a limb because things looked like they could work out, on paper.

Yesterday I tested this out against Shawn and he gave me the most incredulous 'of course not'.

Trick to life? Don't think of it as so complicated. Also, I forgot the password to my livejournal, lol. I'm only still in here coz it's perma-saved in my firefox browser.

Sooo.... how does one choose between one dude and another? How are relationships supposed to work when you like people in different ways and degrees and don't want to be tied down. What then?

I've never been one to take things slow. All my life I've been reckless and careless. I've never really thought about the feelings of my s/o. Until Joel, of course. It's been a week since we first talked to each other. It's fucking insane that we're tumbling headlong into this without understanding it.

I am not infatuated by his gentlemanly ways. I am not awestruck by his cool hair or his awesome looks. I especially am not blown away by the attention people are showering on me. I am still the same shut in, albeit more sociable now since I actually have people to socialise with. Syd died at around 5:45pm today. I'm sure he's happier up there where the temp is always just right and he gets better stuff to eat than puppy milk. R.I.P. Syd baby, I love you.

This is just as bad as losing Jack, and Jack was the family pet for 10 years. But Syd was mine alone. I woke up at 4am regularly just to feed him. He was my baby. R.I.P.

Staying at home with Syd is so comfortable.

I'm scared to venture further. Scared to move out of the familiar. Scared.
