Confusion Found ME!

Oct 23, 2009 10:53

So, just to give you an idea on what's going on with me now and why I titled the entry this way, I thought I'd post a series of emails my sister and I exchanged today:

-ME-

"Over the last few days I’ve been having doubts again on whether or not I should get a car or new apartment. If I ended up getting the apartment, I could still use the money I have saved up to buy a plane ticket for Thanksgiving. But I still don’t know. I’m seriously confused on how I’d even begin to weigh out which one would be better. Any advice?"

-HER-

"i think you should just get the car. after the new year, then maybe think about getting a new place. you're living in a really nice place and i think that a car would be more beneficial for you right now. see how you do with paying insurance and then think about getting a new apartment."

-ME-

"The only problem with that is if I move, it would be to Portland. Portland apartments are slightly more expensive than Vancouver ones. I can’t afford insurance, gas and a new apartment all at once"

-HER-

"i know. i was saying to see how you do with having to pay for insurance and gas, then reassess your budget to see if you can afford a new apartment."

It's kind of like what I was saying yesterday. Either decision just seems so big. Almost like I'm determining the fate of my entire future! I know, I know....that's a bit dramatic. But it's like I'm getting to a stage in my adulthood where those kind of choices are coming in to play. I seriously feel like every decision I've been thinking over lately is a BIG DEAL. These feelings could be nothing, but I don't want to ignore them in case they have something to do with God's plans for me.

Apartment? Car? Apartment? Car? Dating? Single? Dating? Single? All of it seems to be pounding my anvil-brain but doesn't seem to be going in any direction through my thought process. All concepts considered, and their opposite concepts, seem equally appealing and beneficial to me. God help me!

On a lighter note, just so everyone knows that I'm not wallowing in deep despair, I'm loving this Autumn weather. Not only is it raining today, but on the bus I saw many a tree, raining themselves. Rain of light browns, golds and ambers fluttering down from each branch making a beautiful display of nature and beauty. I can't wait until it gets colder...
