Lots - An Update
Wow, so much has happened since my last post. I needed to update this earlier, but I haven't. My initial anger with my uncle has complete subsided. He has been really cool through the rest of this trying to be supportive and helpful throughout. He's not the bastard I said he was. He's genuinely concerned about somethings and I'm finding out that maybe some of the things I've been led to believe about him are outright fabrications. I'll even be calling him on Christmas this year.
Funeral for my sister hasn't happened yet, but will in January. I'll post a follow-up to that in a bit. I need to do a Farewell post. It'd be good for me. My mother, on the other hand, has admitted herself to rehab, but I'm not sure how effective it is since they won't refuse her pills and the guys she's been living with while completely consumed by drugs is out visiting all the time. She wants to move back in with him and absolutely refuses to come up here for a funeral for my sister...which is the only way my dad can join us since he can't travel.
My brother (weirdlovemaker) and I will be doing our own memorial up here with my dad and if she wants to do her own thing in AZ, she's welcome to it, but I won't be going down there for that.
In other news, sever winds wracked Washington last weekend leaving many without power. I went five full days with no power and I wasn't even affected the worst out of everyone - some people STILL have no power. We're talking power poles pulled out of the ground and the energy crews having to rewire from the power station to the customers' houses. It's a mess. I'm VERY grateful to be back at home with power and the internet.
