Procrastination post!!
Okay, so this is me being bored...(and not studying for midterms/writing essays)
So I've been thinking about what I want to do in college. Like, in terms of a major... :-/ And this is a very scary thought for me becuase honestly I just don't know right now. And i know i don't ahve to declare until the end of my sophmore year, but HELLO!!! I'm done with my freshmen year in MAY. o_0
So, I'm currently taking part two of the level 200 spanish class. why? easy A. I'm also taking intro english. why? (hopefully) easy A. Now I realize i shouldn't base my major on the grades i get but i think it might help(?). So right now I am toying with the idea of Double majoring in English and Spanish with a minor in Diplomacy and World Affairs. Now for the reasoning behind this(beyond the grades, and yes, beyond college):
1. I'm fluent in Spanish.
2. I'm fluent in English.
3. I like to travel.
4. I like to travel to countries where I can speak the language.
5. My aunt works for the Foreign Services. Basically she does embassy/consulate work in other countries (just got back from the Domincan Republic and is going to Brazil in July) for x amount of years and that sounds somewhat intriguing to me.
So yes, as of 12:55 am on March 5, I'm thinking about Double Majoring in English and Spanish with a minor in Diplomacy and World Affairs....
