Long time, no write
Hmm. What have I been up to lately-
Watched the Capitals finally win a game (against the Minnesota Wild, 6th February). They beat them 2-1. It should have been 2-0, but somehow the Caps let the Wild score *shorthanded*. Grrr. One would think that if one has the power play and the man advantage, that the other team would be kept at bay, for cryin' out loud. :)
Sewing...well, been working on skating dresses most recently. putting them up on ebay, trying to get some money for the RentFund. Just finished this dress a few hours ago:

It's of black velvet and silver lycra. The skirt is a double layer skirt, the top skirt of the velvet and the underskirt of the silver. It makes me think of superheroes or something. I hope it gets good bidding on ebay, I spent a good bit of time on it. :>
As witnessed by my busily making and selling dresses on ebay, I still haven't got a job. I went to a job fair yesterday, but all the companies seemed to want ppl with active security clearances. I haven't had one of those in several years, since my time in the Navy. I'd be more than happy to undergo a new investigation and everything, but none of the companies seem interested in doing so, so, oh, well, their loss I figure. ;) It's really down to the wire now. My unemployment benefits ran out last month, and I've got just enough in the bank to pay rent for another month. Hopefully, assuming I figured correctly, I should get a coupla hundred back on my taxes this year, but I'll have to double check that. We'll see.
Well, I'm supposed to go play pickup hockey in about 8 hrs, and I should be asleep right now, so I'd better leave this go for now.
