I've been procrastinating for ages on this skirt project. It's going to be a big ballgown skirt, very swirly, (very heavy!) on a fitted yoke that laces in back. I've been dreading cutting this thing out due to the amount of fabric it's going to take. but it's time. Must needs get off back and get some work done. :) I want to get this skirt done, so I can get back to working on more skating dresses for ebay. I put the blue tie-dye up the other day, and the auction already has 4 bids with 6 days still to go. :) I want to do some more children's dresses. One of my dresses was recently worn at a holiday show and received several compliments. :>
(a few hours later) Okay, skirt is cut out, and the four major panels are sewn together. Half the battle completed. :> Finished skirt should look pretty fab. Will definitely try to get pictures and link em for anyone who cares to see. :) the fiddly part now is putting the yoke and skirt portions together and having everything lay smoothly. This skirt will lace up the centre back with a modesty panel.

Had a game weds. night, wound up beating one of the better teams in our division. Having a few substitute players on our team from our summer league might have helped this, though. Either way, felt very nice to win a game on home ice. :> Capitals started the new year off with a win over the Islanders (4-3), but then went on to lose to Ottawa 4-1 on thursday night. Here's hoping they're going to have a better game next time. They usually pick up good winning streak after the new year, I'm hoping that will happen again this year.

Still haven't heard from potential employer. Tech. recruiter has been trying to get hold of them all week. Who knows. One would think that if they don't want to make me an offer, they'll at least let me know "thanks for submitting your resume, blah blah blah", or something along those lines. Oh well, still clinging to shreds of hope. :) If this doesn't come thru, I have the last unemployment check to fall back on, and will sit on that and see if ebay skating dresses can bring in some more cash.
