Just a little rant. Sorry.

School is this close to being done. I will be SO happy to be out of that prison. Really, I hate my school. Shall I explain?

I was born in Manhattan, NY. I lived with my mother and father until they got divorced. I was about three or four. I lived with Mummy and her girlfriend until the very beginning of second grade, where I moved in with my father. I lived with him in one apartment in Manhattan, and two in Bklyn, until my uncle Nick became a Landlord and we lived in his building. I loved that place.

Anyway. From kindergarten to fourth grade, I went to school at UNIS. The United Nations International School, where all the UN delegate's kids went. It was the best school ever. A wonderful, expensive, private school. I had loads of friends, and fourth grade was possibly the best school year I've ever had, despite 9/11, etc. Despite my father's girlfriend/fiance's (and now my stepmother's) job at NYU, I still had to leave UNIS and go to Catholic School for a year. One year was all it took. That school was so poor that we had to bring our own art supplies. Yeah. Even though I don't believe in God, I came top of my class in religion (and everything else). If you want to save your children from misery and suffering, don't send them to Catholic school. At least not this one in Brooklyn.

At the end of fifth grade, we moved to ***********, Pennsylvania. I hated and still hate it here. I started out not knowing anyone, but making friends at camp, including BeatriceEagle. You gotta love your friends. She was the one who introduced me to the SQ forums. I've spent the past three years of my education at Shiz U, which is a sad excuse for a 'international studies academy'. With the exception of Maths and Science, I don't think I've learned anything this year. I knew no one when I went into the school, and I'll be coming out knowing a lot of people I wish I didn't know. You have to realise, I'd never been to public school before Frick, and I was appalled by the amount of people who cared more about their shoes than their education, and the amount of people in my year who could barely read a simple sentence out loud.

But maybe I'm just biased. I've been told that I'm the 'whitest black kid' people have ever met, just for enjoying reading and doing well in school and using proper grammar when I speak. I'll be going to a performing arts school next year, and though it's a public school, I'm hoping that it'll be a little better. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
