The Arya Dilemma

Apr 10, 2006 18:32

Right. Thanks to Bea, I was able to find out about and read Arya's (petitecrivan) post about her disembarking the Good Ship and boarding the HMS Harmony. And, as I was reading her comments, I noticed that 1) Everyone thought it was an April Fool's joke and 2) When told that it wasn't, they still expressed disbelief and 3) some comments were ( Read more... )

Actually, Arya really was kidding. At least, that's what she told us.

That said - what if she hadn't been?

I think on Sugar Quill, there is a general consensus to some that to be a "real Quiller", you have to insult H/Hr shippers like they are all delusional and do other things that are sort of equal to taking a picture of someone doing something embarassing and showing all your friends, when really it's only embarassing to you ( ... )

I really do wish the people who seem to think they're being "real Quillers" and whatnot would get that people like Frankie and Cap'n Kathy are not smiling in approval. None of us are. We think it's immature, obnoxious, and quite honestly, sad when we see it out of the "mouths" (if you will) of people we know are actually really sweet.

...the fuck? KIDDING? Well, actually, I was looking at her journal and saw that after my comment she had put "...april fools", but still.

That's quite an elaborate joke to play on somebody. Huh.

Yeah, I was reading GoF today after school, and when Harry tells Ron and Hermione about his scar hurting at the beginning, it says that he didn't want to say that Voldemort and Peter were plotting to kill him because he didn't want Hermione to go into shock more so than she had already done. I can see how people could get H/H out of that.

But, it doesn't really matter if she was kidding or not. What I said in my post was what I really thought about the whole issue.

KIDDING?!!? That son of a MAN!!! :P

I got the H/Hr out of Hermione kissing Harry's cheek at the end of GoF, more because of Harry's reaction. ("To his shock..." etc). However, now I just see it as siblingish love/shock.
