Finally finished the Lord of the Rings trilogy movie, extended versions. That's like 11 hours altogether not counting end credits. /drags face
The end ruins my heart so much...
It's funny though. I would've been all for Aragorn, he's my kind of man - strong and courageous and handsome, while I kept cringing at Frodo and Sam's scenes 'cause ugh, it's all miserable with their fights and despairs, and I really despise Gollum so much too... But in the end, Sam became my greater favorite. His courage, always trying to give Frodo hope, following him even when he knows Frodo isn't doing the right thing, sacrificing for him, giving up the most important thing for his friend, pushing him and even carrying him to complete what he knows is right.
In the end, they succeeded -- I'm so glad Frodo gave up the ring for Sam, would've hated it if he let himself fall and die -- and were still the best of friends, and Sam was able to live happily after. It is the heart of one that captures me the most. I look up to Sam. I want to be like him...
Favorite characters shouldn't be about looks and actions, but their hearts as well.
I'm so sad Frodo has to leave though. Let me just lie here in Middle-Earth for a while.
