The truth about Management!
What I've learnt from my Business Administration studies, is that people are born dumb and most of them don't learn anything throughout the rest of their measly lives.
To show people how great you are, all you require is the ability to feign awesomeness. :o)
You can get up on the podium, get behind the dais, and then speak utter gibberish for an hour or whatever time-frame has been allocated to you, all the while looking and sounding like you know exactly what you're talking about. When it's time for the audience to pose their questions, Reply with a straight face, look and _feel_ confident, give verbose and unrelated answers, just use key words and phrases taken from the query itself, and mash it all back at the interrogator. When you're done with your farce, everyone in the audience will clap furiously in awe at your brilliance, knowledge of the subject (what subject?) and greatness. :) You'll be raised upon stout shoulders and given the "s/he's a jolly good fellow" treatment. :o)
It's all about sounding and looking good while you make an ass of the crowd. :)
