lareinenoire mentioned to me that the Revels edition of Woodstock is coming out in paperback soon. This is maybe four years after I ponied up for the hardcover (it was slightly less than the listed price there), so I am well past the point where I can complain about it (I was convinced it'd come out, like, three weeks after I paid for it ( Read more... )

include the fact that the Revels edn's footnote on the this dialogue in Woodstock act 4 scene 1 reads "Despite Richard's precise claim to disburse thirty-nine shires, his catalogue lists only thirty-seven shires plus London" (also everything in Wales, but it doesn't mention that), the editors don't say which ones are missing. I got back from the Woodstock reading about an hour ago and it was SO MUCH FUN. I read really well and had too much to drink and everybody did a great job (I was equipped with a truly wonderful set of minions, which pleases me immensely).
