The king is a good king, but it must be as it may

Started off today in a positively heinous mood, but I'm feeling a lot better now (and am no longer annoyed with the people I was annoyed with this morning :) ).

Watched Chimes at Midnight this evening, which had something to do with the improvement of my mood. Those of you on my f-list who haven't seen it and are Shakespearically inclined, I highly recommend it, assuming you can find a copy (which isn't easy). It's Orson Welles' all-Falstaff-almost-all-the-time adaptation of the Henry IV plays, and it's quite a spectacular film.

It also has nekkid Hotspur ass in it, which is neither as amusing nor as disturbing as it sounds.

So now I'm kind of wanting to watch old Shakespeare movies, which is a bit odd: a few weeks ago, in class, we watched bits of Olivier's Richard III and it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it, but when I got home that night I wanted to watch it again anyway. And it's been years since I've seen it -- ditto with Olivier's Henry V, which I almost bought on DVD a while back, but it cost more than I wanted to spend. Ah, well.

I have also been terribly unproductive -- I'd planned to go to the library, but didn't. Also planned to grade papers, but didn't do that either. But I did have fun goofing around in chat with John, Josh, and Anakam, so it's all good.

I should probably go to bed now, but I'm not really tired, since I spent my afternoon sleeping. Stupid screwed-up internal clock.

ETA: There is a can of Manischewitz coconut macaroons (mmmmmm, tasty!) sitting right here on my desk, with only one cookie left in it. And yet I can't bring myself to eat it...
