The lovely stagbeetle linked me, in the comments of my last post, to this collection of photos from the RSC Histories, many of which are of setup at the Roundhouse, but there are also a lot of backstage photos mostly from Richard II (here is one of Jon Slinger being bewigged and here's one of the fabulous shoes everyone mentioned to me when describing the production. Which are indeed fabulous).
However, this is less of a "here, have some shiny photos" post, and more of a question. Namely: can anyone who saw this production tell me what on earth these were for?
