my king, my Jove

I have had Chimes at Midnight on the brain since sadcypress posted about it last weekend, and while I was googling for pictures (I wanted to make icons, and it is NOT ON DVD and I can't screencap my tape, so. Also, yes, I have totally given up on grading for now because I really need a night off), I found this lovely interview with Keith Baxter, who plays Prince Hal in the film and is, in fact, my favorite Hal (lucky, lucky sadcypress SAT NEXT TO HIM at the AFI screening; WE HATES HER, PRECIOUS ;) ). It's definitely worth a read.

"...we had Gielgud for a very short time and the locations were extraordinary. That ruined cathedral in Andora--it was so cold there that the breath was coming out of us. That's when Orson said, 'You can see why Prince Hal couldn't wait to get down to the warm tavern.'"
