hooray for Shakespeare media

Poor Yorick (aka the Best Video Store Ever) has been having a 50% off sale to get rid of some of their VHS titles, and the stuff I ordered from it arrived today. I've got Antony and Cleopatra with Richard Johnson and Janet Suzman (with Patrick Stewart as Enobarbus, yay!) and the Derek Jarman Edward II.

Unfortunately, I cannot watch them at the moment: I got a new TV for Christmas, and since my old one had a built-in VCR, I now have no VCR. I must go to Best Buy and find a nice affordable one.

But first, I must go to campus and work. Blargh.

It is, at any rate, good to know that should I get to teach my Tudor History Plays course before DVD players become standard classroom equipment, I would have no trouble showing scenes from Edward II to the class. Assuming that's a good idea. It's a weird movie.
