aww, I feel kinda sorry for the Ackles. Not so much for the Padalecki's, sorry, but I really didn't like how they treated Jensen. It's like the equivalent of mistreating a kid with a disability. I get that it can be sad that your kid isn't all you wanted him to be, but to make him feel that much of an outsider, or like he is unloved, is just wrong.
The Ackles on the other hand were generous and loving to Jared, both before and after they realized he wasn't genetically theirs.
Anyway, great fic, and glad we're still able to read it, albeit a bit later than intended :-)
I don't know if reading the third chapter would have changed my mind about the Padaleckis, but I felt so sad for poor Jensen. I guess all of them tried to make it work, but it felt like they gave up on him. The Ackles, on the other hand, even if they made mistakes, seemed to do a better job with Jared. It seemed to me that he felt loved.
I was glad that Jensen eventually found good friends. What a diffence between those two packs! I'm glad that the boys made a happy ending for themselves and that their future seems pretty bright.

I love the way you let us see the way they grew up and different from each other and how the family's reacted differently from each other; I wish I could have read chapter three but restricted from me; I love how you brough jared and jensen together; I would have liked more interaction with family and hear what family reaction would have been to there annoucement that they were soulmates but understand; You wanted to go another direction but hope you make time stamp and show jensen maybe intern and jared in whatever profession; maybe getting happy reunion with family or disagrement whatever you think will make good story; I wish the Padalecki treated Jensen better growing up like Ackles treat Jared;
