On Monday, I had my 2pm appointment with Dr. Hime to get my panorama x-rays. But before I left, I got a call from
moogle81984 saying he wasn't going to class - which I took as an immediate hint that I was going to be kidnapped soon. Well, that had to wait, so I went to the doc's, where we got my x-rays done. It wasn't too bad - I found out that the only two problem teeth are the ones on the bottom (one of them isn't even really that bad) but the one that's kinda impacted will need to be sectioned in order to be extracted. (Good thing I'll be put under for that, lol.) Then I found out I'll have to have four different prescriptions - one for painkillers, one for an antibiotic rinse to use before and after the extraction, one to prevent dry socket, and another for...I don't remember what. But yeah, it'll be fuuuun. But at least it'll be done and over with, and my teeth won't be so cramped. (According to Dr. Hime, I have really nice teeth, but my mouth is small and can't accomodate all of them.) So I scheduled my appointment (had to reschedule it to the day after the original date because of a dentist appointment ¬_¬), and I'll be getting them out a couple days after Acen. Wheeeee.
So after that, I called David up - he and
kuja_rang had been watching this extremely campy giant-bug movie on MTV, and after that was over, they came and kidnapped me. We went back to his house, played some games and watched some TV, then picked up some Pizza Hut before heading back and playing a couple duels in YGO. Steph beat me again - this time using nothing but traps, magic and my Change-of-Heart-possessed Red-Eyes Black Dragon to kill me - and then she dueled David. There's a reason why I both love and hate dueling against him. He puts up a challenge, and he has a real penchant for using his magic cards to annihilate you. She lost against him due to that fact, and then we headed back home for the night.
Tuesday was fun. Erica and I headed up to Carroll College for a visit, since a) she had not yet visited that place, and b) I needed to make absolutely sure I wanted to go there before I made a rock-solid decision to transfer. The trip there was interesting. I'm not the best navigator in the world, and since this was the first time we'd gone on a road trip without our folks with us, that led to confusion over what exit to take to get to Waukesha - I was following the college-given directions (as well as ones given by Mapquest, since they were very similar), while Erica insisted that the Mapquest directions had said something different. As a result, we ended up in Brookfield, where we stopped at the mall to check with Dad as to where we should go. As it turned out, we had stopped in just the right place - we just had to keep following the road we'd turned off of and then we'd find our way from there. Sure enough, we were at the college within half an hour after that. The visit itself was very good. The majority of my credits can transfer through, so I'd have very little problem with that. Overall, Carroll's a big plus over IC. Erica thought it was okay, but because of spending four years in a school that's even further into middle-of-nowhere territory than mine, even Carroll wasn't enough - she wants out of rural and suburban territory, and into an urban lifestyle. Fine by me, at least we didn't kill each other at all during our trip, lol.
Wednesday was a wild day, but it did end on a good note. Early on in the afternoon, Eric came over to surprise me. However, my sister came in and said Steph had called, so I called her back. When she told me that she'd been crying, though, I began to worry. I said Eric and I would head over there, and she said we'd see why she was crying. When we hung up, I turned to Eric, and all I had to say was, "Steph's crying. We're going to her house" and we were on our way, no questions asked. On our way there, I figured that a) it had to do with Alison, b) she'd snapped, or c) both. Sure enough, when we got there, she showed us what she'd done as a result of an argument with her sister. Thankfully, Eric was there to help (I always try to be there when friends hit their lows, but it was really nice to have him there to lend a lil extra support), and we managed to help her feel a bit better. Then Al came back, and we got a good up-front idea of what a lil snit she's become - she barely said hi to me and Eric, didn't even ask if Steph was okay or how she was doing, and instead came in and flippantly said "Oh, I have to tell you what a fantastic day I had!" ¬_¬ Aiya. Anyway, we took Steph out - we were going to get her to her doc's to fill her meds, but since we got lost, we decided to just get some Bill's Pizza instead, lol. After that, we headed to my house, where we sat around and chatted until I asked Steph if she'd like to stay the night. Once it was cleared with Dad (normally weeknight sleepovers are a no-no, but since our house has become a sort of haven for when friends have problems, this was one of those exceptions), we went back to her house to grab some stuff (had yet another encounter with Al, who didn't seem to get the idea that we had no desire that talk with her and her attitude), and headed back to my house. Eric left, and Steph and I watched some TV. It was at this point when we went online, and David popped up on Yahoo to ask where I'd been - he'd found out about Steph earlier, and had been trying to get a hold of me for help. ^^ Steph and I both chatted with him for a while (and I FINALLY got my third email for Acen, YAY!!!), watched some Adult Swim, then we played some YGO: Duelists of the Roses before we finally decided to gt some sleep. Whew.
Thursday started off with us waking up and starting our day with some court shows, then some Springer. Excellent way to start your morning, lol. Later on, after whoring off Steph's CDs, I burned her a new CD with some of my latest additions. David came over around 2:30, and after watching some South Park and chatting, we went out to get Steph's bridesmaid dress (and had yet another encounter with Al), and got some Pizza Hut. Then we came back here, and spent the rest of the night playing video games (Soul Calibur II, Wind Waker, SSBM, and Lufia) before we did a couple YGO duels.
Now I go to bed and get some sleep - I have a whole ton of shit to do today, lol. *waves*
