I wanna pet the Huggy Bear!

The ride home very good. Dad and I picked up some McDonald's, discussed schools and family stuff - apparently Erica would love it if I came to her graduation in June, so I'll finally get to see her school campus, lol - and listened to some of my CD's. We got home earlier than usual - around 4:30, when we normally don't get in until about 6. XD So after I settled in, I called kuja_rang, and got my stuff ready to go her house. Then I chatted with my folks until about 6:45 or so, when David called to say he was two minutes away from my house. We went to Steph's, and not long after we got there sailoruresui, her sister Emmy, karazy_pyro, and Jenny arrived. We watched some Excel Saga (GO MENCHI!), and soon Joe came over. We did some deliberating over where to go - it was either movies or bowling - but we decided to grab some food first.

Dinner was hilarious. We went to McDonald's, where it was us and a group of local teens in the restaurant. From the moment we walked in we proved just how crazy we could be. Poor Emmy's prolly been traumatized because of Joe, lol.

After McDonald's, we went to Eskape to go bowling. However, when we got there, the place was chock full of teenagers, and we were told it would be an hour before a lane would open up. So we left, and after a bit of discussion (and a call from Kim) we headed to a bowling alley in Arlington Heights. But just like before, the place was filled up, with another hour wait. Just as we were leaving, though, Kim pulled up - I haven't seen her in a while now, but dayum. She normally has darker hair like me, but now it's bright blonde, and with the makeup she wore, she looked like a Springer trailer tramp. Hence, Steph had to run back in to keep from laughing in front of her and saying it to her face. Since I wasn't about to stay out in the cold and chat, I went back with Steph (as well as David, Lynn, and Joe) and we hung out in the foyer of the alley until we decided it was time to head out and do something. Since we figured that the alleys in Mundelein wouldn't be any better, we decided to go see a movie at Woodfield. The movie we picked was Starsky & Hutch. Dear lord, that movie was great. I never saw the TV show, but the movie was hilarious. Snoop Dog as Huggy Bear was absolute gold, too. So if you haven't seen that movie yet, go now!

After the movie, we headed back to Steph's, and after watching some TV, most of the people cleared out, so it ended up being just me, Steph, Chrissy, and Jenny. After some more TV, we brought out the dance pads and DRR games, and we played those suckers until we were tuckered out. (I kept dozing off afterward; all the lost sleep from this past week caught up to me. ><) This morning, we watched some random shows, followed by YGO - Those "To Be Continued"'s better die soon.

Chrissy and Jenny left not long after that, so Steph and I messed around with our YGO cards. Since our YGO fic involves dueling, it was high time we built her a deck out of the cards she's taken up over the past several months. I took that job, and after she had a deck built, we tested it out against mine in a duel so she could learn the game. She learned DAMN FAST, too. Inside of an hour and a half, we played two duels, and she utterly creamed me both times. Kind of pathetic in a sense, but it made me feel proud, since I'd put her deck together, lol. Then I read through a couple of her YGO mangas - I so have to start getting those once I get through Shaman King, lol.

Came home around 6, where we had lasagna for dinner (booyah!). Found out that the big TV fried out, so the only two working TVs in the house now are in Mom and Dad's room and downstairs. Dad'll be calling a repairman soon to get it checked out, so hopefully we can get it fixed. If it can't be fixed, well...looks like that'll be something to add on our List of Things We Can't Afford Now But Want to Get ASAP.

Poor Erica's got the flu, too. Pretty terrible timing - just got home yesterday, and now she's sick. Dad wants us to go out and apply for jobs, and maybe make a trip together up to Carroll for a tour, but it looks like that won't be happening. ><

But for now, I scamper off to find a sweater, because my house is too frickin cold!! lol
