This week I have been spending the twenty minutes before bedtime on Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House in the Big Woods", and the chapter I read last night, a story about two bears, reminded me of a Flower Angel episode (probably 31 or 32) which was also about bears. So I watched it just now, for maybe the fourth or fifth time. It was a lovely story about a father and his son and two little bears and a big bear (and of course Flower Angel and her cat and her dog; you can figure out the rest), and I think it is among my favorite five Flower Angel episodes. I guess many now find me very childish to be watching Flower Angel, and they will probably be more shocked if they know about the Little House books, but I don't care. It's nice to be a little child once in a while--or even 50% of the time! Of course, reading lovely stories--including RLSes--does not get reports written, but they do help, to an extent. For now, I'm feeling more cheerful than I have been in the last five days.
