Summer Employment
Looks like I got me a job for the summer!!! Sorry to tell you Jenny, but it's not at the great gas station of Fox Point. Well I don't really have the job exactly. I still have to have a pre-employment inteligence test and an interview later on. As of right now, my test thingy is tomorrow. So that means yet another hike home for like the 4th weekend in a row!!! But hey ~ I'm not complaining!! hehe! So about this job. It's at Associated bank Corp.(the company that owns Associated Bank), and is in the same building that my father works in! Well that's how I got the job really in the first place! Though apon applying, my dad told me that I probably wouldn't get a job there - shows him! JK! So this job I guess is pretty easy since it is an entry level job. The people that work there thier entire jobs only have a high school diploma. So I'm not to say that the job is boring or easy, since that is what those people do for a living. Anyways, I guess what I'd be doing is something with government processing.
Hmmm...sounds important!!! OK not really. When someone opens up a checking/savings account, I do the background checking stuff. Or the processing of banking accounts. Like if someone transfers over $10,000 I have to do something - ok so I'm not that sure of what exactly I will be doing, but oh well. It will definately look better than a gas station later on my applications for a real job or on my résumé. Another plus(sort of) is that it is full-time - 40 hrs/week. And if it is an 8-5 day, that still makes room for me to play softball at night!! Since my games start at the earliest of 6 pm!! So that's one of the major pluses to this job. Another great plus to having a full tim job is that your weekends are FREE!!! No working until 9-10 at night like at the gas station!!! So I can go to softball tournaments on the weekends and not worry about working!!! Since I am probably going to St. Louis again this summer for national softball sometime this summer.
So Jenny ~ I don't know for sure anymore about going to Great America. If I was working for Martha, I could be like - well I need that day off, but I don't want to ask off right away on my new job. I hope you understand, which I think you will. Now about not working at FP, I will still come and visit you at work all the time - and to visit Rob - hehe JK!!
Since I'm going home this weekend, I might be going to a Brewers game with Ashley and others on Saturday night!! But I'll have to see how much homework I get done over the next few days.
