That new show

A new show hit the air last week after CSI, called Shark, and for lack of anything better to do these past two Thursdays, I've been watching it.  The premise is this jerk of a defense lawyer, one of the best in LA, gets his client off the charge of assaulting his wife, only to see the man kill her within a day of being released.  He kind of goes into a depression for a bit, until he gets snapped up by the mayor to head up this unit of lawyers in the DA's office, whose name is Jessica something and is portrayed by Jeri Ryan of Star Trek Voyager fame.

You can imagine my delight in seeing her play someone other than Barbie of Borg.  *is most pleased*

The man's a pain in the ass, he makes more than one of his team cry, and his ruthlessness sets a lot more of them on edge.  Also, his ex-wife is moving to New York and his daughter, now sixteen, gets to choose who will be her primary guardian until she hits eighteen.  Even though she's obviously very close to her mother (mostly due to having such a distant, workaholic dad), she chooses to live with him because she believes that "[he] needs her."

Drama on all sides and it's pretty darn good so far.  I may have found something to watch with SG-1 and Atlantis on hiatus.  *bounces*  Whee
