The fic for paperlegends is distinctly not cooperating. I want to convey a certain tone, but it's just not coming out, no matter how many times I rewrite a scene. I just can't quite capture what I want for the story. As a result, I'm debating the merits of switching to writing a different story.

I think it was castmeaway who asked me last year when I was writing my remix something along these lines. When I'm stuck, I find it very helpful to ask myself, "what story really wants to be told here". I'm glad you find it helpful too.

Argh. The entry point is always so hard for me too! Sometimes I find it easiest to start in the middle and work my way back.

It is so interesting, all the different ways a story can be told. I think we really have to consider that when we are stuck, eh? Sometimes the "straight" narrative just doesn't work.
