Got a call for a job interview today, the first I've had since, I don't know, APRIL? It's for a part-time position at Worthington Libraries, up in northern Columbus. Basically, it's the same position that I've had interviews for with Columbus Metropolitan Library, just with slightly less pay (about 73 cents less). At this point, I don't really care. It's a chance, which is more than I've had through May and June.

I'm really excited about this one, though. Worthington Libraries is an excellent system, on par with CML. They regularly duel for the title of Library of the Year, and both have won it. Worthington's a smaller system, only three branches, and one of those is co-managed/owned with the CML system, but I've loved the place ever since I visited it during library school. The Old Worthington branch is a beautiful place, homey comfortable, and I've always felt really great there. I almost did my practicum there, but ultimately chose CML because it was more convenient in terms of getting there and being close to school for classes at the time.

Still, this is a good chance to get myself in the door in a really good place. I've got my volunteer experience, more than a year's worth now, to back me. I can do this.

Just have to wait until the end of July for the actual interview. But hey, it's arranged! *dances*

rl: jobs, other: *flails*
