*bookworms*

So, during my time at home, I ended up skimming through my book collection (which I'd left there due to lack of space). My little jaunt ended with me pulling books down to read instead of reading stuff for class (toasted there, but I'll catch up). Actually enjoyed myself.

Book List

The Wars of the Roses, edited by Antonia Fraser. This lady has been one of my favorite authors of history books for years. I recommend just about anything she writes, and she's written a fair bit.

Royalty's Strangest Characters: Extraordinary But True Tales from 2,000 Years of Mad Monarchs and Raving Rulers, by Geoff Tibballs. I think when I bought this, I only read certain passages because some of them felt rather unfamiliar. A very entertaining read that will make you giggle in some spots. Not to mention, the chapters about the Spanish Hapsburgs brings to mind what hypocrites people were when they gasped and clucked over Richard III supposedly plotting to marry his niece, Elizabeth of York. *eyeroll*

Channeling Cleopatra, by Elizabeth Ann Scarbourgh. I bought this book back in high school and it quickly became a favorite of mine (I went through this huge Cleopatra-worshipping phase in those years). After reading it several times, it ended up on the shelf and I decided to read it again. It was just as entertaining as it was back then. I even recently found out that the author wrote a sequel to it and purchased a cheap, slightly used copy (hey, I'm not picky). Hopefully I'll get that soon and let you know if it is as good as the first book.
