perp walk

i was walking across campus tonight after my class. saw this guy a little ways ahead of me. he was swerving across the sidewalk like a drunk across the lanes of a freeway. it was really freaky. he almost ran into a couple people. i wasn't really scared though. one: he was pretty incompassitated so i figured i could out run him. and two: (and this was the main reason i was so calm about it) the person between me and him was a campus security officer and he had a huge maglight that could have done a lot of damage. but then i crossed the street to wait for the bus and the crazy guy walked onto the platform in the middle of the street to wait for the train. i guess campus security called the SFPD and a couple of cars came and they checked him out and then cuffed him and walked him back to one of their cars. it was pretty crazy. a couple of people and i were talking at the bus stop about it because we all had a perfect view of the spectacle from where we were standing. pretty crazy. i don't know if he was just drunk, but he was definitely under the influence of something.

anyway. today was the anniversary of john lennon's murder. so listen to his music and celebrate his life. he may have been an ass sometimes (ie. the beatles are more popular than jesus, mick jagger is just copying us, all the people we play for are idiots, i knew i was a genius at age eight, etc.), but he was amazing. imagine.... that's what he wanted.
