let the games begin...

I took my first dose of what may be my last round of Clomid. Normally, the side effects aren't too terrible. Mild headache, irritibility, hot flashes. The hot flashes are the worst part. But honestly, this time around the side effects have been minimal and didn't start for days after I took my last dose. Today is only going to be my second dose and I'm already having horrendous hot flashes and I feel nauseated and just not good. I really hope this RE can do something for us. I really hope she tells us GOOD news, not bad. I am completely terrified in more ways than one.

I printed out our hotel confirmation and driving directions. A little preemptive, maybe, but I want to be prepared because we will be driving at night. I also printed out directions to the medical center from the hotel and from the medical center to the nearest Starbucks. LOL Sometimes I am so lame. I thought about getting Starbucks before going to the medical center but then I thought I might get chastised for drinking a sugary, caffeinated beverage. So I figured we better make that stop on the way home.

Starbucks always reminds me of the time I drove nialavender to the Atlanta Airport. It was my first time making that drive and I was dreadfully tired. We stopped in Montgomery at a Starbucks and ordered me a few extra shots of espresso in my Frappucino. It was tasty and it perked me up enough to make it to the airport. But after we dropped her off I felt really run down again. So Tony and I took a detour outside Atlanta and stopped at another Starbucks. Same deal. Caramel frap with two extra shots of espresso. BING! I drove with intensity until we hit Montgomery. By the time we hit Troy I was a zombie behind the wheel. But we made it home in one piece.

Monday and Tuesday next week are going to be filled with non-stop driving. Oddly enough, I'm looking forward to it.

the open road, re appointment, starbucks
